How to set up Mega Menus?

Step 1: When editing the main navigation in the WordPress menu editor (Appearance > Menus), click the parent menu item you’d like to open up a multi-column drop-down menu and check the *“Is Mega Menu” box, as you can see in this screenshot:

    * Mega Menus can be enabled on 1st level menu items only.

Step 2: Start organizing your multi-level navigation menu:

    Mega Menu Title and Description

Menu items set to be displayed as Mega Menus will support a Title and a Description. Example:

The Title and Description column can be enabled when editing a menu via Appearance > Menus.

Use the Title Attribute and the Description fields when editing a menu to input your text. If you can’t find the two, make sure they’re enabled under “Screen Options“.

    Mega Menu Images

Menu items set to be displayed as Mega Menus will support images. Example:

The image column can be enabled when editing a menu via Appearance > Menus.

To associate an image with a menu item, paste the image URL in its respective filed:

The image associated with the 1st level menu item will be displayed at all times on the Mega Menu, while the images associate with secondary level will be displayed while hovering the menu items.

    Dropdown Colors

The colors used by the drop-down menus can be changed via Appearance > Customize > Styling. The two color controls will help you customize both the background color and the text color used for the menu items/links.
